You will be working as Fulfilment Specialist and will be the part of Electrification business area for Smart Buildings division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Planning & Fulfillment Manager and will be responsible to ensure the effective control of products and services due date requirements as per the manufacturing processes and ensure OTD of all products and services
Your responsibilities
- Obtaining and analyzing of quotations, the negotiating of prices and terms and the purchase of goods, machinery, equipment, raw materials and other supplies and/or services for the LBU, process purchase orders on ERP System and ensuring accuracy of data before submitting order to vendor
- Ensuring that all orders are confirmed within the lead times set out by SCM, performing the full expediting function, ensuring all orders are delivered and goods receipted, liaison with logistics center and shipping daily
- Managing MRP exception report to ensure purchase orders are cancelled, rescheduled and expedited as required, evaluating of suppliers and supplier qualification program and yearly revalidation of local/foreign vendors
- Stock replenishment, eliminating run outs in stores within buyers control and reducing buyout, ensuring vendor acknowledged dates are aligned to customers requested date, lease with vendors for price lists and discounts
- Supporting the supply chain manager in creating long term agreements with vendors on commodities relevant to the BU, supplier risk management and supplier performance evaluations
- Focusing on reducing non-ABB supplier base on standard commodities/services and ensuring that local vendors comply to our BBBEE requirements, working on converting old and new sole suppliers on std commodities with which our local spend is significant to at least a level 5
- Keeping records of communication and actions with vendors and basic housekeeping within SCM requirements
Your background
- Bachelor’s Degree- Bachelors of Commerce in logistics management or similar qualification in
- supply chain/logistics
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in competent in SAP – MM Module & Knowledge of SD & PP modules
- Product knowledge an advantage, matric
- Must be competent on excel and presentations
- Fluency in English language is mandatory
