    Position summary

The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid Your main stakeholders are Engineering, R&D, Product Management and Project management. You will be mainly accountable for: • Planning and implementing sourcing strategies in line with the business strategy and ensuring that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. • Ensuring identification, investigation, and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability) in collaboration with the relevant functions (Supplier Quality Management, Engineering) and in accordance with company policies. • Negotiating project pricing and sourcing frame agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renewing price lists. • Identifying cost reduction or cost avoidance potential and triggering the necessary activities to materialize the potential savings, by working together with Engineering and/or Product Management to (re-)evaluate the design and the cost drivers. • Managing the relationship with the suppliers as well as the relevant internal stakeholders. You will join a diverse and highly motivated team, where you will be able to thrive.
    Qualifications for the role

    • At minimum 5 years of experience in strategic Category/Sourcing Management with demonstrable affinity for mechanical components or at minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering with demonstrable affinity for commercial topics.
    • Result-oriented and possess excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
    • Track record in collaborating in a team to reach the optimal total cost of ownership.
    • Proven experience in the management of stakeholders.
    • At ease communicating in English; ability to communicate in German is an advantage.
    • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in business administration or mechanical engineering.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of cabinets and the railway sector is preferred
