    Global Controller, Analytical Business Line

    Working within the Analytical Business Line (BL) of the PAMA Division, you will act as a business partner to the BL Manager and the BL Management Team to drive and execute the strategy according to the business model and optimize financial performance within the assigned BL and set of PGs and local units. It is important to stay close to the business and have interest in understanding the market and customer landscape and especially the portfolio and related technology. You will provide financial reporting and KPIs for the BL and monitor progress achieved, provide insight and analysis to support operational decision-making and improve performance.

    Your responsibilities

    • Establishes and oversees processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. Ensures high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules. Oversees the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility and serves as the interface to Division CFO, global PGs within the BL and Local Division/BL Controllers and BL functional Managers
    • Serves as the key partner for the relevant business leader in determining strategy implementation for area of responsibility and developing a business model, aligning with wider strategy, implementing, and making adjustments in implementation as needed
    • Leads, provides guidance, and facilitates best practice sharing between Controllers and functional managers in the BL within own area of responsibility to ensure alignment and consistency of controlling practices. Ensures timely and efficient communication with Division Controlling peers, relevant Local Controllers, Finance Group functions and other internal customers to identify and discuss issues for improvement of financials KPIs, work quality and efficiency for area of responsibility
    • Assesses business risk exposure and defines risk mitigation strategies to reduce impact on business performance. Ensures risk management processes are consistently implemented in own area of responsibility
    • Drives definition and implementation of BL efficiency and standards and business specific guidelines to ensure continuous improvement in the financial control process within own area of responsibility
    • Ensures transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. Defines and implements internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations. Ensures compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines. Supports internal and external audits. Signs off Assurance letter for the area of responsibility
    • Ensures (with Manager support) that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies

    Your background

    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in key finance areas of expertise including operational finance, commercial finance, controllership, financial planning, and analysis, and/or other relevant finance areas
    • Strong commercial & business acumen
    • Business Controlling expertise such as global, functional and BL Controlling
    • Manufacturing/Operational Controlling
    • Prior experience working effectively with remote work groups including Center of Excellence teams, cross Business/ Regions and Global Business Services teams
    • Proven ability to problem-solve using structured approach
    • Highly proactive and result driven attitude with the ability to influence, communicate and network in a complex international matrixed organization
    • Mergers & Acquisitions experience
