    The Global Marketing Data Analytics Specialist will be responsible for supporting a culture of decision making based on data and insights for digital marketing and marketing technology operations at ABB’s Process Automation business area. The primary responsibilities of this position fall into two clear categories of analytics and insights. On the former, the Specialist is responsible for leveraging prebuilt analytics from across diverse tools for web, social media and marketing technology platforms; and for special projects which require manual inputs capture (where automated analytics are unavailable). On the latter, the Specialist owns the process of drawing trends and presenting insights to diverse business and communications teams. Platforms covered as part of this remit include external and internal assets (owned and third party) of ABB Process Automation and its constituent Divisions. Performance metrics to be analyzed include cover usage / adoption, content and user experience related aspects. Another key responsibility of this role is to ensure that data and insights are made available to business and communications users on planned frequencies and on-request where so applicable.

    Your responsibilities

    • Own the entire framework of analytics across web, social media and marketing technology platforms – external and internal
    • Use pre-built analytics capabilities in social media platforms of presence and social media analytics tools (HootSuite) adopted by ABB Process Automation, while ensuring adoption of the latest versions of analytics tools such as Google Analytics
    • Derive analytics data from marketing technology platforms, including but not limited to Salesforce and related tools for email marketing, events martech and account based marketing and run manual analytics and content performance analysis on platforms such as internal social media platforms with basic analytics capabilities
    • Track data from internal productivity tools to support in monthly and quarterly effort reporting
    • Map cross-linkages between data points from across streams (eg. from social media to webpages) to draw trends and map out user journeys and convert data into insights and recommendations for program optimization across all streams and cross-stream programs
    • Support web design and web strategy teams with insights to drive SEO practices
    • In coordination with Information Systems teams, develop and maintain automated dashboards for real-time performance data and insights as the owner of the analytics and insights dashboard process
    • Act as an in-house subject matter expert (with training support to Divisions where necessary) on all types of analytics tools

    Your background

    • 6-8 years of experience in marketing data analytics
    • Deep understanding of analytics tools, including but not limited to Google Analytics, LinkedIn analytics, HootSuite, etc.
    • Proven track record in data reporting systems
    • Background should include support provided for SEO activities
    • Ability to drive high-intensity programs involving extensive coordination across digital marketing streams
    • Working knowledge of all digital marketing and marketing technology practices and platforms
    • Proven ability to convert data into insights
    • Educational background which includes marketing data analytics and behavioral economics a definite plus
    • Understanding of a global, multi-cultural digital marketing operation through experience and exposure
