Global Project Lead Engineer (80 – 100%)

For our traction and e-mobility business in Turgi, Switzerland, we are looking for a committed and passionate Global Project Lead Engineer (m/f/d). In this challenging position, you will be the technical lead and design authority for engineering activities related to rolling stock, Energy Storage Systems, E-bus or heavy electric vehicle propulsion. In close collaboration with local engineering departments around the globe, you will drive excellence by ensuring that engineering activities are effectively executed in accordance with customer expectations, specifications, standards and safety requirements, while identifying improvement opportunities.

Head of Global Technical Project Management

Your responsibilities

• Technical lead of a team of specialist engineers for complex engineering projects, in collaboration with the commercial project manager
• Technical representation of the project towards the customer
• Ensuring project execution within the given time, cost, and quality framework
• Coaching of technical project managers globally
• Establishing and maintaining close collaboration with other engineering teams (locally and globally), R&D, product management, project management and other relevant functions
• Actively promoting the application and continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes

Your background

• Bachelor, Master or PhD in electrical, software or mechanical engineering
• At least 5 years work experience in a technical customer focused area, ideally in the field of railway, E-bus or heavy electric vehicle propulsion
• Technical Project management experience
• Strong level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a structured approach to work
• Team player with excellent communication skills in English and preferably in German
