As Global Technical Author, you own and manage online knowledge base by regularly updating information and improving structure. You interact with R&D engineers, product owners and other technical experts to proactively gather technical information and then translate it to a form which can be understood by broader set of people. You will be part of the The Digital Services and Software Platforms Product Management team, which consists of >6 employees. Your team members are based in Delft. We are a team of enthusiastic and versatile professionals. We are making sure that our services and platforms stays cutting-edge technology wise and serve a wide range of customer’s needs and market trends. We feel equally comfortable talking directly to customers to better understand their needs as well as sitting next to developers diving deep into technical details. Our team’s purpose is to manage digital and software capabilities which are used by various business lines to compose optimal offering for various customer segments.

Your responsibilities

• Create a new to be developed modern online knowledge base with the help of technical stakeholders and existing information, where following documentation is maintained:
• Product and software release notes
• User manuals, installation manuals & servicing manuals
• Feature descriptions, quick start guides
• Gather requests for information from product management, service, quality, operations, sales and other stakeholders and address these needs in knowledge database and other documentation.
• Actively track new features development from inception phase to plan for required documentation activities.
• Work closely with product management team by actively participating in roadmap planning and tactical planning to know in advance and shape which type of knowledge about future development would be required to supply and how.
• Work closely with cross-functional R&D teams, product managers and owners and operations teams in an agile development environment to ensure required documentation is delivered according to plan to satisfy features Definition of Done.
• Transfer and explain created knowledge content to colleagues. responsible for internal/external trainings, and ensure this content is shared to other stakeholders via the selected channels.

Your background

• Fluency in written English is a must.
• Ability to articulate meaning and sense of narrative is a must.
• Proven experience of writing technical and end-user documentation for software and digital products and services.
• Proven experience of managing and maintaining online knowledge base, ability to setup such base from the ground up.
• Experience working with creating instruction videos is a plus.
• Experience working with online publishing tools.
• Basic graphic and wed design skills is strong plus.
• Degree in IT, Computer Science or Engineering or comparable work experience is highly beneficial.
• Previous experience with writing documentation for embedded software and for cloud services is a strong plus.
• Previous experience in the eMobility, especially in EV (charging) market is highly beneficial.
• Experience in working in or with an agile/scrum based software development team is a plus.
• You can work in multi-disciplinary teams and multi-cultural environment. You are structured in communication and approach.
