Head of Global Traction Production

In this role you will be responsible for the overall Production and Manufacturing footprint strategy within Motion Traction. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will on the one side define common standards, processes, drive digitalization and optimization within the global factory network. In a dynamic and fast developing business, you will partner with the Local Traction Production Heads to define standards and certifications, as well as KPI’s for several production sites.

Your responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for Production Footprint and footprint strategy
• Optimize global value streams in production
• Define global Shopfloor Digitalization Strategy in Production
• Responsibility and lead for (automated) production projects
• Deliver inputs and guidance for Design for Manufacturing in particular for automated ESS production
• Define & introduce digital processes and tools for transparency and improvement of quality & cost reduction
• Analyze, optimize, and introduce lean production processes
• Define standards and certifications for production sites
• Responsibility for global production engineering
• Escalation level for Heads of Productions globally
• Encourage the introduction of new tools & processes to make the production more efficient
• Global capacity load balancing of the factories

Your background

• Strong leadership experience (over 10 years) in a dynamic and fast developing business
• Very good knowledge of manufacturing processes and working knowledge of systems: Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma.
• Strong communication capabilities, English is mandatory, German is beneficial
• Broad knowledge in automated production
