    Head of the Quality and Documentation Department

    In this role, you will ensure the maintenance of the quality culture for the emergency lighting plant, located in Dorval, by controlling quality through systems, tools, and teams in order to surpass customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations. Reporting to the manufacturing unit manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the quality management system, managing all aspects in accordance with the instructions issued by the ABB group/division/branch.

    Your responsibilities

    • Supervise the quality and documentation team.
    • Analyze, improve, and follow up on customer complaints.
    • Analyze quality discrepancies, inform stakeholders of risks to ensure that they are addressed.
    • Set up and monitor key manufacturing and quality performance indicators, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.
    • Participate in activities relative to new product development and product change, act as “voice of customer”.
    • Verify that effective internal controls are in place to ensure that the processes continue to meet requirements and that control plans are respected and effective.
    • Ensure maintenance of the ISO 9001 certification including updating the quality audit procedures and monitoring the results (internal non-conformance management process).
    • Maintain the databases and ensure the required documentation related to the management system.

    Your background

    • Bachelor of science or engineering, combined with 5 to 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and in the field of quality-documentation.
    • Analytical and methodical mind, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize.
    • Technical report writing skills.
    • Collaborative, solution-oriented approach with strong spoken and written communication skills in both French and English.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
