HSE Manager

As an HSE Manager you will be heading country’s HSE activities (Athens,Thessaloniki), assisting managers and employees to deliver a high-performing culture through clear line management accountability and a competent organization, based in Metamorphossis Attica. You will push improvements in health, safety and environment (HSE) performance to ensure a high-performing health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment. In this role you will lead by example, applying your in-depth HSE knowledge to provide solutions and advice to address a variety of issues.

Your responsibilities

• Driving continuous improvement by implementing the Group HSE management system, training and improvement programs
• Overseeing audits related to HSE activities Empowering the management team to grasp obligations and liability, local HSE law and ABB requirements, and how to drive behavioral change
• Facilitating HSE risk assessments by line management, ensuring all processes and corrective actions are implemented
• Reporting and raising awareness on performance of ABB Sustainability goals, KPIs and HSE incidents
• Helping to define the annual HSE budget, monitoring and managing performance against financial targets and constraints
• Planning and executing HSE projects, managing resources and reporting on goals and progress
• Holding the role of the technical safety advisor as per Greek legislation 3850/2010 for ABB SA Greece

Your background

• A BEng degree in Electrical Engineering
• 4-6 years of experience in relevant role, preferably in the industry sector
• Sound knowledge of Risk Assessment Methodology, Incident Investigation, HSE Legislation, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001
• Experience in HSE audits as auditor or auditee will be a plus
• A collaborative, cross-functional, solution-focused approach and strong written-spoken communication skills
• NEBOSH International General Certificate will be a plus
• Excellent usage of Greek & English language
• Excellent presentation skills
• Sound knowledge of MS Office and ease in handling online platforms and systems
