    Human Resource Supervisor

    As a core member of the HR (Human Resource) team for Motion NEMA Motors, you will oversee HR contributions, partner with relevant leaders to understand business drivers and the current and long term strategy and identify opportunities for HR to add value to the business. In this role, you will be advising and counseling managers, supervisors, and employees regarding ABB policies, procedures, and employee benefits. Listen to employee problems and provide feedback to functional managers to ensure corrective action is taken. Provide feedback on employee morale to the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), suggesting corrective actions to resolve any problem areas.

    Your responsibilities

    • Build positive employee relations and a great employee experience with proactive communication, prompt issue resolution and fair and equitable treatment
    • Coordinate production staffing and workforce development needs. Partner with managers and talent acquisition to attract, onboard and retain top professional talent and assist employees with personal and career development
    • Provide prompt responses to employees on HR related questions and requests while coordinating with HR Support Specialist to provide local first level employee HR system support
    • Partner with management and legal to resolve performance issues, assist in workplace investigations, and recommend corrective actions
    • Focus on effective implementation of and compliance with various HR and training initiatives
    • Maintain a safe work environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies, report near misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and encourage others to do the same through coaching and Safety Observation Tours (SOTS)
    • Work on special projects, such as employee activities, continuous improvement, and ABB CARE initiative

    Your background

    • Associates Degree with minimum 4 years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 2 years of experience
    • Strong working knowledge of employment and labor law
    • Preferred Experience Includes: MS Office, especially Excel, SAP, Workday, Kronos, and experience working in a manufacturing environment
    • Able to exercise initiative, work independently, and prioritize competing demands
    • Deal with problems that may be controversial or sensitive in nature and must maintain confidentiality
    • Prepare clear, concise reports and make oral presentations
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
