    Industry Segment Specialist (m/f/d) Water & Wastewater – Motion

    In this challenging position, your main task will be the implementation and execution of the local motion strategy in the water & wastewater sector. As the new job holder you will be responsible for the support and targeted processing of planners, engineering offices and end customers in a defined sales area in Northwestern Germany. We rely on your knowledge of our products such as frequency converters, control systems and motors, as well as your expertise in the water and wastewater sector.     Your responsibilities

    • Conducting technical and commercial negotiations with customers
    • Identifying, prioritizing, servicing, and expanding existing customers and acquiring new customers at the municipal and industrial levels
    • Strong focus on new customer acquisition with a high proportion of cold calling activities
    • Technical consulting, product prequalification and training with planners, engineering firms, system integrators and end customers
    • Early identification of upcoming end customer projects
    • Preparation and evaluation of customer, market and competitive information for decisions with short and long term planning horizon in coordination with local management
    • Cross-functional collaboration with the local sales unit for effective awareness in the water / wastewater segment including transfer of expertise to the regional sales team
    • Meeting budget targets based on order intake and margin
    • Collaborate with other local business units to increase joint W&WW end user projects
    • Active association work with established local associations (DWA, DVGW)
    • Organize, conduct and participate in technical conferences, product presentations, regional trade shows, marketing activities, training activities and exhibitions

    Your background

    • You have a clear view of the essentials, are strong in communication and assertiveness, and are hands-on oriented
    • You like to move on a municipal as well as on an industrial level and have no difficulties to build up a network
    • Cold calling is one of your sales strengths
    • Successfully completed technical studies - preferably in the field of electrical engineering or electrical drive technology
    • First years of professional experience in field sales, especially in cold calling and in selling products requiring technical explanation - ideally experience in consultative selling of frequency converters
    • Very good knowledge of the water and wastewater industry
    • Detailed product knowledge in the field of drive technology (Drives and Motors)
    • Experience in strategic development of customer relationships (KA) and responsibility for sales, margin and development of customer numbers
    • Experience in the management / cooperation of sales channels
    • Experience in organizing trade show appearances / customer events with product focus
    • Knowledge in project management
    • Fluent in written and spoken German and English
    • Strong willingness to travel nationally
