ABB Corporate Research, in close collaboration with our business lines, is developing the foundations for the next generation of ABB products. In Switzerland, ABB Corporate Research located in the proximity of Zurich employs ca. 70 scientists from over 20 countries. The Power Electronic Converters team focuses on design optimization, prototyping, and testing of low- and medium-voltage power electronic converter topologies and systems for various applications, such as motor drives, traction converters, and UPS systems. We offer a friendly, international work environment with the possibility to be part of industrial research projects. Your responsibilities

• To assist scientists converting and migrating power electronics related de-sign tools into web environment, which comprises web-based UI design and application development based on existing software implementation.

Your background

• Currently pursuing a B.Sc. or an M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or similar field; enrollment to 5th semester or higher is essential
• Proficiency in English (oral and written)
• High motivation and willingness to lean new topics and develop own skills
• Capable of independent work with self-initiative but also a team player
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and C/C++
• Understanding of client-server interfacing and communication
• Knowledge of MATLAB scripting and modern C++ standards (C++11/17) is advantageous
