Internship/Master's Thesis (m/f/d) in Big Data Analytics for the Process Industry

on enhancing industrial processes with additional insights based on the application of artificial intelligence to process data. Your work focuses on the application Large Language Models in Retrieval Augmented Generation setups. Especially the integration of process data and reasoning of LLMs will be of interest. You will be involved in the setup of experiments, requirement alignment and consideration of scalability. You will work on: • Develop of Retrieval Augmented Generation using Large and Small Language Models • Evaluations considering retraining and other optimization possibilities • Work on industrial data and get insights into the automation and process industry
Qualifications for the role

• Currently studying Technical Sciences, especially Computer Science or related field
• Fluent in written and spoken German and English
• Strong proficiency in Python and GIT and skilled in Jupyter Notebooks and IDEs (PyCharm, Visual Studio Code)
• Experience with deep NLP models, especially RNNs or Transformer architectures in Keras/TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Familiarity with Pandas, Numpy, and plotting libraries and experience with ipywidgets or Dash is a plus
• Team player with a solution-oriented mindset
• Good programming knowledge and experience with Large Language Models (LLMs)
