    Investor Relations (IR) is a strategic management responsibility that integrates finance, communication, marketing and securities law compliance to enable the most effective two-way communication between a company, the financial community, and other constituencies, which ultimately contributes to a company's securities achieving fair valuation. In this role you will be responsible in supporting the team’s development and the implementation of ABB’s IR strategy. The ideal candidate has professional experience in one or more of the key competence areas, a strong understanding of financial markets and/or financial accounting and/or business control standards, and is a reliable and valued resource for initially internal stakeholders and external when ready. This position is part of the team responsible and accountable for group-wide Investor Relations, based in Zurich in Switzerland.

    Your responsibilities

    • Act as an internal provider of research and analysis of data, reports or other necessary documentation that are part of the IR team’s day-to-day responsibilities.
    • Contribute to the development of ABB’s equity story/investment proposition in conjunction with the IR team, and other functions and business units as may be needed for financial communications.
    • Analysis of data from the financial community including analyst forecasts, peer analysis, financial market analysis and any market trends that may impact the ABB share price.
    • Develop an understanding and contribute to ensuring that the company fulfills its legal and regulatory reporting requirements regarding open, fair and timely disclosure to ensure IR output meets requirements.
    • Develop an understanding of the financial market and investor relations skills with the aim to support external stakeholders on investor relations related topics.
    • Support activities with other parts of the ABB organization related to the internal or external communication of financial or stock market-related information (e.g. press releases, internal management meetings, sustainability, Board meetings, 20-F, annual and quarterly reports).
    • Generally support any project or activity that forms part of the IR team’s core responsibility.

    Your background

    • 2-4 years of work experience in an Investor Relations role or a Finance related field
    • University degree or equivalent education.
    • Expert skills in written and spoken English language.
    • Strong financial and analytical skills.
    • Understanding of financial markets and/or financial accounting and/or business control standards.
    • High level of proficiency with Microsoft desktop tools, including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
    • Absolute integrity and trustworthiness given the often highly sensitive, non-public information the job holder is dealing with.
