IS Application Manager

The MO Distinct Applications Manager will be responsible for managing MO distinct IS demand within the space of Marketing and Sales. The individual hosting the role will work with MO Heads of Marketing, Marketing Operations and respective Business Process Owners in order to define a clear business need, define the IS activities required to support the business need, create and validated project plans and oversee implementation and operations of MO Distinct IS solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Building and delivering specific IS solutions/services. Reviewing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and corresponding service monitoring & controlling metrics to identify rightsizing opportunities
• Executing the IS solution/service delivery, utilizing the internal IS delivery units and IS operations team members, as well as, external 3rd party IS service suppliers in a “core and flex model”. Delivering an IS service or support within appropriate domain or subdomain for a IS Solutions to relevant customer group ensuring execution of requirements within budgeted costs and time schedule
• Supporting the installation / management / maintenance / optimization of internal and cross-functional processes related to IS Service Build or IS Service Delivery within the domain
• Supporting work in the domain which is aligned to given goals and compliant with ABB IS Enterprise Architecture and any other applicable ABB Group Directives and ABB Group Guidelines, especially ABB IS Guidelines and Directive dealing with IS service delivery
• Managing assigned budget, if any, effectively and delivering activities within agreed schedules and costs. Participating in the definition of costs and schedules upon request
• Ensuring satisfaction within IS services; understanding their strategic and tactical needs, making sure actions are taken to close any gaps, and influencing stakeholder perceptions of the relevant IS services
• Supporting major incident & critical situation resolution. Consulting and providing input and resolution for any incident, change or project which has, or might have, a major impact on the relevant IS solutions/services
• Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies, for the benefit of both ABB and the employee

Your background

• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent English (Additional language would be an advantage)
• Degree in Computer Science would be an advantage
• Previous experience in software development
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a multinational/corporate environment
• Good analytical and creative problem solving skills
