    IT Business Analyst - Measurement and Analytics for Process Automation

    ABB Process Automation (PA) division develops, produces, sells, delivers and services products and solutions to enable industrial and energy customers to operate more efficiently and profitably. Key product groups within the Division are: Analytical Instruments, Field Devices, Flow Measurement, Force Measurement, Instrumentation Service and Process Analytics. Our global team of experts in Measurement and Analytics technologies supporting PA is dedicated to serving our customers with the best digitally enabled solutions. We are now looking for an IT Business Analyst who will be responsible for bridging the gap between the technical environment and the business by gathering requirements and using data analytics to assess processes, outline problems, opportunities and solutions.

    Your responsibilities

    • Performs Business Analysis for a segment of an organization, contributing technical, business process and data expertise to support ongoing operations and also decisions for new or changed IT solutions in scope
    • Identifies and prioritizes functional requirement to fulfill customer requirements
    • Selects, adopts and adapts appropriate business analysis methods, tools, and techniques
    • Conducts advanced modelling activities for significant change programs
    • Collaborates with internal stakeholders (Service Owner, Domain Owner, Solution Architect ) in the definition of costs and estimates efforts
    • Collects and translates requirements for projects and changes into specifications for internal and external delivery parties
    • Maintains, in collaboration with Business Tool Manager, a view of upcoming demand within the services in scope, pre-qualifies and prioritizes change requests and escalates changes that should be projected to the Service Owner
    • Supports and engages ABB Business/Function as a Product Owner in the qualification of the business requests

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant area
    • Minimum 3 years of experience working as an IT Business Analyst
    • Advanced skills in the areas of Business Process Management, preferably in Sales and Ordering processes
    • Previous experience with business applications including Salesforce, SAP applications will be preferred
    • Understanding of modelling methods, mapping business processes and creation of user stories and features
    • Scrum or general Agile knowledge and working experience as a plus
    • Creative problem-solving is essential
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to build good relationships and find consensus when needed
