We are looking for a candidate to join our Europe Operations Centre (EUOPC) in Ostrava or Pilsen for the position of "IT Specialist with German". In this position you will install and manage the IT part of the control systems and work on interesting projects. Your responsibilities

  • Installation and configuration of ABB control systems
  • Installation and configuration of Windows servers / clients in a domain environment
  • Configuration of network elements in project networks
  • Installation of antivirus and backup solutions
  • Applying cybersecurity rules
  • Virtualization in VMware, HyperV
  • Testing new releases
  • Occasional business trips abroad, especially to Germany

Your background

  • You have a high school / university degree in electrical engineering or IT
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in IT (PC hardware, Windows)
  • You have an active knowledge of written and spoken German (level B1 and above)
  • You are proactive, communicative and can work independently
  • You have basic knowledge of computer networks - configuration of network elements
  • You are familiar with the Windows environment (server administration, AD, DNS, GPO)
  • Experience in automation or electrical engineering is an advantage
