Junior Traction Field Service Technician

You will execute service work with Traction Team in Valencia/Spain. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will act as the technical point person between customers and extended ABB teams.

Your responsibilities

• Providing on-site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance independently, identifies technical problems and makes analysis through remote or on-site activity in different Service categories.
• Consulting with and advising customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing specialist support and solutions.
• Some domestic and/or international travel will be required (around 30% travel time), as the role will require hands-on support at customer sites.

Your background

• A degree as Electrical / Power Electronics engineer, or FP2, or more than 5 years experience in the Traction sector.
• Experience working as Field Service technician, with knowledge in measurement technology in the field of power electronics (voltage range up to 4kV) and with IGBT converter technology.
• Sound knowledge of and hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing of Drives, Traction or Wind Power Converters.
• High level of Spanish (C1) and medium of English (B2).
• Independent, structured and initiative way of working.
