    Lead Engineer-Safety Instrumented Systems

    You will be working as Lead Engineer - Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and will be part of Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager, you will part of a global engineering team supporting 20+ countries in delivering Safety Instrumented Systems projects (Design, Engineering, testing and commissioning of SIS).

    Your responsibilities

    • Ability to design and engineer SIS using safety requirements specifications, alarm specification, cause and effect diagrams, system block diagrams, logic narratives and function / logic block diagrams
    • Thorough understanding of P&ID symbology and presentation techniques.
    • Knowledge of instrument maintenance practices and hardware inspection, FAT, SAT, loop checks, start-up and commissioning
    • Supporting 20+ countries in delivering Safety Instrumented Systems projects (Design, Engineering, testing and commissioning of SIS)
    • Proficient with SIS hardware design, application programming and HMI graphics development
    • Proficient with SIS related deliverables including functional design specifications, response time

    Your background

    • BE /B Tech (Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication /Instrumentation & Control)
    • Minimum 10 years of design, engineering, testing and commissioning experience of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) in oil & gas production / refining / petrochemical industry.
    • Experience in SIS hardware inspection, FAT, SAT, loop checks, start-up and commissioning
    • Experienced in the selection, specification, configuration, testing and maintenance of safety instrumented systems (SIS) following IEC 61508/ 61511
    • Experience and knowledge of instrument and control systems through design and field installation
    • Must have good communication & leadership capabilities with strong team building skills
    • Must be willing to travel to customer sites for commissioning activities of SIS
