Lead Project Engineer / Project Engineer - Electrical

You will be working as Lead Project Engineer / Project Engineer – Electrical and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in Bangalore, Chennai India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for all engineering activities in assignments classified as low engineering complexity. Ensuring that activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements

Your responsibilities

• Performing basic and detail engineering activities and provide optimized solutions for the electrical system in industrial projects
• Preparing overall key SLD, Auxiliary AC/ DC SLD & protection SLD, designing calculations including transformer sizing (Power, Distribution and Converter), Battery and UPS sizing, DG sizing, VFD Sizing, earthing calculation, cable sizing, cable tray sizing, lighting calculation, lightning calculation
• Preparing data sheet & specification for all equipment used in industries like transformer, GCB, bus duct, MV switchgear (both AIS and GIS), LV Switchgear, Battery/ UPS system, VFD, DG set, cable, cable tray, earthing & lightning, communication equipment’s
• Detail Engineering – Equipment layout & section, earthing layout design, cable routing / cable tray layout, cable schedule & termination schedule preparation, bus duct layout, lighting layout, lightning layout, switchgear fixing arrangement drawing
• Developing Schematics for Control and Protection Panels, Synchronizing Panels, MV and LV Switchgears based on project specific requirement
• Developing of Block Logic Diagram for MV and LV Switchgear

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience for Project Engineer / 10-15 years of relevant experience for Lead Project Engineer
• Working experience in at least 2-4 large size projects as Project Engineer and 4-6 Large size projects as Lead Project Engineer out of which at least two project as project lead
• Pre-Bid Engineering, Bid & Proposal exposure is an added advantage
• Proficiency in using design tools like earthing, lighting calculation tools etc.,
• Basic Knowledge of power system study and network modelling preferred
• Working in a fast-paced environment with short submission deadline
• Strong technical leadership skills, interpersonal skills, effective communication skills
• Commissioning experience of Electrical Equipment's is preferred
