    Leader of Power Electronics Engineering Team for Auxiliary Converter (m/f/d)

    In this role you will be responsible for the power electronics team, in ABB Traction.

    Your responsibilities

    • Be the leader and entrepreneur of a power electronics team
    • Teach, coach and mentor your team to enable for taking responsibility in the project portfolio
    • Support initiatives for integrity and safety (physical and mental), diversity and inclusion
    • Support the existing Lean Engineering initiative plus identify and drive continuous improvements with your team and the department
    • Lead and/or be part of selected R&D and Engineering projects
    • Support the Product Management and Sales department with technical solutions for customer projects
    • Collaborate with other power electronic teams and community members in Engineering and R&D to drive processes and technologies in the same direction
    • Offer an “easy to work with” organization towards partners and customers (internal and external)

    Your background

    • Endurance and assertiveness to grow and enable a team
    • Communications skills to solve complex challenges (organizational and technical)
    • Experience in innovative power electronics technology, ideally based on SiC and designed for harsh environments
    • Fluent English and German communication skills to motivate your team and satisfy our customers.
    • Master degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with focus on power electronics
    • PhD in power electronics domain is a plus.
    • Minimum two years’ experience in leading an engineering team. Experience as a technical project manager or lead engineer can be credited.
    • Knowledge of railway standards will be considered a plus
