Local Business Area Manager

As a Local Business Area Manager, you will be responsible for operations activities and portfolio management which could include re-search & Development oversight. Implementing the portfolio/product group strategy and ensures business development, including profit and loss (P&L). Reporting to Lead Business Area Manager MO Asia, you will be ensuring development of performance targets in line with global targets and ensures achievement through regular oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed. This position is based in Parañaque City, NCR Philippines.

Your responsibilities

• Evaluating market opportunities and decides appropriate activities in line with the strategy
• Responsible for on-time/on-margin project execution and to deliver project EBIT and cash
• Accountable for a sustainable and effective value-chain, from customer to supplier and from order to delivery (products, projects & service)
• Ensuring profitable business growth in the domestic and allocated market
• Monitoring quality metrics, identifies opportunities for improvement in local execution, and oversees improvement activities
• Ensuring the execution of projects according to agreed targets in terms of schedule, quality, financial results, and customer satisfaction
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
• Guiding, motivating, and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant courses
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the local market
• Business acumen: ability to execute operations and portfolio management effectively
• Good knowledge and understanding of the Motion market specifically Drives and Motors products and solutions. Understand of sustainability and energy efficiency topics are huge plus
• Hunger and drive for profitability growth
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, able to leave and drive the team in achieving targets and objectives
• Excellent customer service and service operations mindset
• A Collaborative mindset with excellent written and oral communication in English
