    Local Business Area Manager, Robotics & Discrete Automation m/f/d

    This role is an integral part of both the global Robotics Division as well as a key contributor of the overall country success. The successful candidate will drive profitable growth initiatives across multiple market segment facing business lines while fostering a customer focused, continuous quality improvement culture within the country division. The successful candidate will lead the Robotics division in France including local business lines, operational, and functional teams. This position is responsible for delivering the local Division annual performance plan with successful operational oversight of financial performance and strategic execution of the global division strategy in France. This position also includes the responsibility for the Local Business Line Automotive, for delivering its own performance and operational result based on the execution of its strategy.

    Your responsibilities

    • Ensures the development of performance targets in line with global targets and proactive to the local market.
    • Build and enhance long-lasting relationships with existing and new customers in the country.
    • Ensure, with the support of HR, that the local teams are sustainably assessed, staffed, trained and developed in line with business needs.
    • Evaluates market opportunities and decides appropriate activities in line with the global strategy.
    • Develops and implements the local strategy in the country and ensures proper business line alignment with the global strategy.
    • Participates in forum with other senior business area representatives and FR Country leader on a variety of topics including environment, health, and safety initiatives, workplace practices, and other related license to operate issues.

    Your background

    • At least Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or equivalent.
    • Minimum 15 years of experience in a technical or process leadership role.
    • Minimum 10 years managing full cycle business in the automation industry.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience managing in a matrix environment, including global organizations.
    • Fluent English and French is a must.
    • Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to travel, including globally as needed.
    • Strong awareness of Health, Safety and Security rules: HSE is everyone's business.
