    Join us as Local Business Line Controller for Process Automation Business Area where you will be acting as the finance business partner to the Australian Process Automation, Process industries (PAPI) business managers. Optimizing financial performance within the PAPI business lines. Supporting effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate various business alternatives and recommend the most appropriate business solutions. Reporting to Business Controller this position will be based in Notting Hill or Fortitude Valley, Australia. Applications close Friday 2 June 2023

    Your responsibilities

    • Contributing to the definition of the strategy for the business unit. Serving as the key partner for the relevant business leader in determining the strategy for the area of responsibility, aligning with a more comprehensive strategy, implementing, and adjusting as needed
    • Translating strategy into business plans and establishes measurable targets. Overseeing the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility and serves as the Local Business Manager interface
    • Monitoring progress achieved and provided insight and analysis to support operational decision-making. Identifying issues and advises management on action plans and active strategies to resolve them
    • Identifying and communicating commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions. Executing risk review procedures and processes in line with global policies and standards to minimize commercial and financial risks and exposure
    • Establishing and oversees processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. Ensuring high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules
    • Ensuring transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. Defining and implementing internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations. Ensuring compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines
    • Ensuring timely and efficient communication with relevant Local/Country/Division/Global BL Controllers, Accounting Center, and other internal customers to identify and discuss issues for improvement of operations, work quality and efficiency for the area of responsibility
    • Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guiding, motivating and developing direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies

    Your background

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Certification in CPA or other equivalents qualification will be an advantage
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in an accounting role
    • Experience in controlling and managing high-volume data with multiple-dimension analysis
    • Strong experience and knowledge in Abacus and SAP modules such as the project systems module, sales and distribution module, and finance and cost controlling module (FICO) is a must for the role’s success
    • Knowledge of US GAAP, financial policies and procedures, and ability to interpret financial operating statistics effectively
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work individually or in teams with deadlines and attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence internally and externally
