Local Communications Manager - Service

In this role you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the local division internal and external communication strategy, supporting local management in call communication matters, and driving outside-in thinking that ensures consistent brand positioning, aligned with global division as well as ABB guidelines in US Motion Service in Wauwatosa, WI.

Your responsibilities
- Strategy - Defines the communication priorities to support the local division business strategy. Develops and drives the implementation of a coherent and consistent, integrated communication plan (both external and internal) and brand positioning in-line with the global division communications strategy and guidelines
- Communication plans - Develops, recommends and executes targeted communications plans and messages including customer and partner communications, crisis communication, employee engagement and internal communications - with the objective of engaging and inspiring key stakeholders including customers, management, employees, trade media and interest groups. Keeps target audience at the center of the communications plan to make the message as relevant as possible for each audience. Generates leads and nurtures existing customers through traditional and digital activities
- Management support - Serves as a consultant to the local divisional management team to ensure quick recognition of timely opportunities and clear response to same. Supports the local managing director and other key management with personal communications materials including presentations, speeches, articles
- Content - Creates editorial content suitable to the promotional activity and stage of the buyers’ journey. This could include, but is not limited to, local success stories, press releases, videos scripts, social media posts, invitations, marketing automation campaigns, etc.
- KPIs - Ensures targets and metrics for the initiatives are properly established and implemented. Reviews and evaluates results on a regular basis
- Executional excellence - Ensures executional excellence throughout the area of accountability for all communications measures in line with the global divisional communications strategy, brand positioning and corporate identity/corporate design guidelines. Drives continuous improvement
- Budget - Owns budget for local communications program
- Network - be active in a positive and collaborative network of internal and external communication communities, including the US Motion communications team. Be the voice of the local division back up to the global division communications team
Your background
- Bachelor degree and 5+ years of experience in communications or marketing communications in a global matrixed organization required
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English required
- Ability to manage several projects in parallel while being able to execute on tough schedules and timelines required
- Extensive knowledge and experience of Pardot or something similar highly preferred
- Experience in both B2B and B2C highly preferred
- Excellent collaboration skills including working cross-functionally and internationally while being able to engage and work with a range of senior business leaders and stake holders highly preferred
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
