    Local Division Controller

    You will be a vital member of the finance team within the Motion Business Area in Turkiye. Reporting to the Local Business Area Controller Motion Turkiye, you will provide key support to the business, ensuring accurate tracking and processing of all transactions.     Your responsibilities

    • Serving as the key partner for the Motion Service Local Division Manager in determining business strategy in line with wider Division and Product Group strategies
    • Translating business strategy into plans and establishing measurable targets, evaluating the financial implications of various strategic decisions, identifying risks and recommending actions
    • Overseeing the business planning and forecasting process and serving as the interface with global division controlling as well as other global / local functions
    • Establishing cost structures, productivity optimization and capital efficiency while closely monitoring cash flow and taking relevant actions to improve net working capital, managing the currency risk (hedging)
    • Participates in contractual terms and conditions review (client, consortia, subcontractors, suppliers), risk reviews, contract structuring and negotiations, tax issues, cash flow analysis, preparation of quote calculation (full cost model), cash-flow and exposure analysis.
    • Analyze, detect and evaluate legal and commercial risks of projects and contracts and implement adequate risk mitigation actions
    • Ensuring compliance with internal guidelines/procedures and external regulatory requirements
    • Performing financial analysis, reporting to business managers and making suggestions to improve performance, where appropriate
    • Preparation of financial reporting, cost planning, budgeting and forecasting.
    • Establishing and overseeing the processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information, ensuring high quality information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules
    • Ensuring timely and efficient communication with relevant local/global Controllers and other internal customers to identify and discuss issues, suggestions for improvement of operations, work quality and efficiency
    • Be an active member of the ABB Turkey Controlling community, promoting best practice and working toward process harmonization
    • Depending on the candidate’s skillset and overall profile there is a chance to enlarge the local controlling role accordingly

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related fields,
    • More than 10 years of experience in Finance, Controlling and Accounting in a multinational company,
    • Strong knowledge of USGAAP is must and IFRS experience is an asset,
    • Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including SAP (FI, CO, PS, MM) and PowerBI
    • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and ability to multitask
    • Team oriented profile with strong risk management, negotiation and multi-stakeholder management skills,
    • Result oriented, self-motivated and analytical mindset,
    • Understanding of end-to-end process, systems and data flows across organization at business and finance-side especially in IT systems: ERP, Planning & Reporting tools and integrated solutions,
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
    • Excellent command of written and spoken English,
    • Very good knowledge of MS Office applications, Power BI experience is a strong asset
