Pay Range: $https://26.23 - $https://28.87 (+$https://1.00 p/hr.) Shift Premium: $.20 for 2nd shift & $.30 3rd shift (based on a progression pay scale)

Your responsibilities

  • • Exhibit good safety awareness, and act as a role model for safe and efficient work practices
  • • Oversee building and grounds maintenance
  • • Manages and reviews all service contracts
  • • Manage and direct all grounds and custodial functions (Including contract negotiations)
  • • Conducts/Oversees and documents regular facilities inspections including but not limited to (alarm systems, paging systems, fire protection systems, emergency lighting, generator, switch gear, etc.)
  • • Handles all Impairment permits for out of services. Work with ADT, Security, and contractors to ensure that ABB stays in compliance.
  • • Manage and direct plants floor crew for proper maintenance and upkeep.
  • • Maintenance and Repair of plants equipment for floor upkeep (grinders, polishers, scrubbers, etc.)
  • • Ensures all security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly and all equipment is tested and operating properly
  • • Works with Utility services during repairs on campus that affect ABB utilities and communicate facility wide to keep everyone up to date on outages. Also, to make sure utilities are properly marked before any digging starts.
  • • Oversees and supervises the quality of work for other EE’s and Contractors on facility team to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively
  • • Forecasts, allocates, and supervises the financial and physical resources of the facility management function.
  • • Responsible for maintenance and repair of all overhead doors, docks, and levelers
  • • Responsible for PM’s, maintenance and repairs of all plant HVAC systems and Chillers
  • • Responsible for maintenance and repair of facilities fencing and security gates.
  • • Responsible for maintenance and repair of all personnel doors, including key management, door card readers, and changing out handles.
  • • Responsible for maintenance and repair of exit and security lighting including emergency lighting.
  • • Responsible for maintenance and repair of all bathroom and plumbing fixtures.
  • • Responsible for maintenance and repair of all water fountains and ice machines in facility
  • • Responsible for maintenance and repair of roof repair and building surface contractors.
  • • Responsible for maintenance and repair of all plant and facility lighting.
  • • Responsible for maintenance and repair of parking lot surfaces and pavement striping.
  • • Responsible for maintenance and repair of all handrails and steps entering and exiting the facilities
  • • Responsible for maintaining all signage for the facility
  • • Oversee repairs and maintenance to water supply and sewer drains.
  • • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • • Document all maintenance work and sign out parts using maintenance CMMS
  • • Must be a self-motivated, responsible and Safety oriented individual
  • • Must have strong leadership skills
  • • Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards and regulations desired
  • • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access desired
  • • Experience in SAP/BUS systems for maintenance and material handling would be a plus
  • • Demonstrates a positive “can-do” attitude
  • • Takes responsibility for self-performance (Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently)
  • • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • • Must be able to communicate at all levels of the business
  • • Must be able to read and interpret engineering blueprints, electrical schematics
  • • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems desired
  • • Ability to think “outside the box” and continuously apply innovative ideas and approaches
  • • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • • Must have analytical problem-solving skills and be detail oriented, with a strong desire to learn new things.
  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • • Must be able to handle multiple tasks, changing priorities and perform well under pressure.
  • • Advanced understanding of Machine operations and diagnostics desired
  • • Must be willing to attend classes for additional job related training
  • • Other duties as assigned

Your background

  • • AS in electronics technology or Refrigeration strongly preferred
  • • 2+ years of applicable experience in industrial facility maintenance role
  • • Must have valid HVAC License
