ABB Motors & Drives is a pioneering technology leader, providing products and solutions to help our customers maximize productivity, safety and energy efficiency, with a focus on reducing impact on the environment. Working within the Motion Eastern Sales Team you will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of all Channel to Market for motors in the Eastern Region. Reporting to the Eastern Region Sales Manager, you will coordinate sales activities, while maintaining a clear focus on increasing market share, profitability and customer satisfaction.

    Your responsibilities

    • Insure adequate regional coverage for HVAC dedicated channel partner in the Québec province and the Atlantic region.
    • Define and assign sales targets for each HVAC channel partner and ensure proper follow-up through Quarterly Business Plan Review.
    • Support technically and commercially our regional HVAC direct OEM accounts and dedicated HVAC channel partners.
    • Read and comment specifications for specific opportunities
    • Develop sales competencies within each branch of our HVAC distribution network. Identify, schedule and organize adequate training.
    • Promote active face time with all channels. Be a strong advocate for joint calls.
    • Ensure proper teamwork within the Drives division as well as with the Motor division team members. Work collaboratively with the Senior support personal in place.
    • Monitoring competitor activity and ensuring appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
    • Driving the application of standardized Marketing and Sales processes including SalesForce.com to track and maintain opportunities.
    • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

    Your background

    • Excellent technical knowledge of the LV Drives.
    • Experience in the HVAC environment preferable.
    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited post-secondary institution, preference towards Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
    • Ability to travel 50% of the time. Current Driver’s License valid in Québec and legally able to work in Canada.
    • More than 10 years of experience in combine experience related to motors (inside sales, product management, outside sales, etc.)
    • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and SalesForce.com.
    • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, with strong communication and customer relationship-building skills.
