You act as functional (matrix) manager for marketing and communications professionals working with this business line across several locations, ensuring alignment with the global marketing & communications strategy. Reporting to: Head of Marketing & Communications, ABB Marine & Ports and functionally to Business Line Manager, Marine Service & Digital, ABB Marine & Ports. Preferred locations: Fornebu, Norway; Helsinki, Finland; Rotterdam, The Netherlands; Genova, Italy; Miramar, United States; Singapore. You will be mainly accountable for: - Marketing & Communications strategy, budget and analytics: Define, align and optimize marketing & communications plans and budgets for the Business Line globally. Analyze impact of activities to show value created and shape future marketing strategies. - Content and materials: Develop key messages, visuals and marketing materials that address customer challenges and clearly articulate ABB's value proposition. Create new content (success stories, case studies, and solution materials) to support Sales in building customer preference. - Customer engagement: Plan and implement targeted marketing and communications campaigns, applying relevant tactics across full spectrum of digital marketing, media relations, conferences and customer events. Participate in planning and executing trade fairs, User Group meetings and coordinating the various country customer days (decarbonization workshops). - Thought leadership and media relations: Develop and execute a media strategy to increase share of voice and visibility across broad channels including business and trade media, blogs, podcasts and broadcast, in cooperation with global communication manager. - Product launches: Contribute to go-to-market strategy, produce marketing assets and define nurturing processes for new solutions and services, to build market awareness and generate high quality leads. - Internal communication: Develop systematic internal communication activities for the Business Line, including townhalls and employee engagement platforms like Intranet and Viva Engage. - Management team: Actively contribute to the Business line management team priorities, representing the voice of marketing and communications. Act as communication partner for the Business Line executives. - Collaboration: Work closely with the Service Lines (Marine System Service, Decarbonization Service and Digital Service) to ensure enough focus on supporting the strategic growth levers and product marketing. Work closely with BL Marine Propulsion marketing and BL Ports marketing to ensure aligned service marketing messages and campaigns for all service business in Marine & Ports.
    Qualifications for the role

    • 10+ years' professional work experience in marketing and communications roles, preferably in an international environment.
    • Master's or Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field.
    • Ability to work independently in good collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including creative agencies.
    • Strong project management skills - delivering results on time and budget.
    • Ability to translate technical features to commercial benefits.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication in English.
    • Maritime industry knowledge, software and digital service marketing as well as people leadership experience are considered an asset.
