    Marketing Development Manager

    In this role, you will define, plan and ensure implementation of product marketing strategies for Smart Buildings within Electrification Business in USA, meeting business targets and aligning with global product strategy. You will oversee all sales and marketing activities and events to drive sales and increase market share. You will be responsible for supporting the NEMA Flow Goods GPG (Global Product Group) by focusing on defining and implementing marketing and sales strategies specifically aimed at developing into new markets, segments, or other strategic areas not currently defined. Ensure the definition of the business plan, annual marketing plans and marketing strategies are according to budget. Furthermore, ensure the GPG’s business intelligence is aligned to support the strategic goals.

    Your responsibilities

    • Contributes to the GPG’s (Global Product Group) strategy definition and execution through the analysis and identification of new markets, segments and/or product solutions
    • Analyzes customer needs for the portfolio, securing customer advantages and benefits as well as white spot analysis and connected strategies to penetrate the market
    • Develops and implements business strategies for newly defined areas in alignment with the GPG’s (Global Product Group) strategy
    • Provides market intelligence analyses in support of identification and development of new markets, segments, products, or solutions
    • Participates in internal work groups to share know-how, processes, and market information
    • Works closely with ROW (Rest of World) markets to ensure their needs are integrated in the product roadmaps
    • Develop a sustainability strategy for the GPG (Global Product Group)
    • Identifies and prioritizes acquisition and partnership opportunities to expand into the newly defined area
    • Understands portfolios white spots and comes up with strategies to solve these ensuring profitable growth
    • Collaborates with all related internal contacts to ensure alignment, efficiency, and effectiveness in the implementation of the commercial strategy
    • Supports local {ROW (Rest of World)} organizations in the execution of product launches and reducing barriers to execution (pricing, collateral, etc)
    • Defines and executes strategies for new channel entries
    • Defines portfolio wide Product Information Management (PIM) strategy is aligned across all product lines and critical repositories. Develops ecommerce strategy and makes sure partner and customer websites are current and fully in line with our brand requirements. Architects and implements trustworthy dashboards that will support the organization in business decision making
    • Identifies partnership opportunities and participates in the definition of partnerships agreements together with local Business Unit
    • Participates in planning and implementation of customer events and trade shows
    • Ensures NEMA Flow Goods budget (volumes) and profitable growth targets are achieved in the ROW countries
    • Achieves the non organic business goals set for the GPG (Global Product Group) NEMA Flow Goods GPG (Global Product Group)

    Your background

    • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor's in Marketing or related degree with industry experience strongly preferred
    • Minimum of 8 years in product management, product marketing, sales, or related fields in the low voltage electrical distribution or similar industries
    • Master’s in business or similar is appreciated
    • Experience taking new products to market. Knowledge of Agile methodologies appreciated
    • Strong presentation skills and Fluency in English required
    • Ability to travel around 10%
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
