    Marketing Events Manager

    The opportunity has arisen as a result of the divestment of Consulting Services from ABB to TUV Rheinland. With an increase in schedule of events through 2023, a Marketing Events Programme Manager and Coordinator is required for the delivery of both internal and external technology based events and exhibitions. Candidates will be expected to liaise across the company and externally to deliver the annual events calendar, ensuring consistency of message at all times. Interpersonal skills will be important in providing on-site support at events. People management skills will be prevalent as the candidate will be responsible for a team. Ability to build strong internal and external links with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.     Your responsibilities

    • Responsible for implementing and managing a programme of events, meetings and conferences throughout the UK to support the strategic marketing communication objectives and to ensure consistency of the message across different channels
    • Devising and implementing a plan of events, which supports the business strategy
    • Managing all transactional activities for the organisation and execution of events (eg.venue searching, liaising with venues, external suppliers, speakers, organising invite lists, travel and accommodation)
    • Managing costs and event budgets
    • Delegate responsibilities to team members
    • Providing onsite support when necessary
    • Liasing with exhibition contractors on stand design, ensuring delivery meets budget and timescale
    • Communicating events to target audiences (including employees)
    • Identifying and managing sponsorship and speaking opportunities
    • Assisting with the set up and maintenance of all project documentation files and records
    • Managing associated administrative tasks
    • Event follow up – Conduct review of each event in search of continuous improvement
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be needed.
    • You will also be supporting the TUV Rheinland Marketing Manager and the Consulting Sales Team with creating marketing content required to support the delivery of events.
    • Work closely with internal colleagues and external marketing agencies to deliver relevant marketing content (eg flyers, brochures, e-shots)
    • Production of powerpoint slides to support the communication of events
    • Assisting the Marketing Manager and Head of Sales with the administration and other day to day activities

    Your background

    • Event Administration, Event Logistics, Event Project Management
    • Significant experience in coordination of customer events
    • Relevant marketing / event management qualification or marketing / event management experience
    • (preferable) Energy Industry & B2B background or relevant industry experience
