    As a Master Data Governance Manager, you will be accountable for Master Data governance in the Local Division. You will specify, design, implement and maintain Master Data structure in line with business requirements and ABB’s master data concept to maximize workflow efficiency and ensure compliance requirements. Reporting to the Quality and Continuous Improvement Team Leader, you are functionally in charge to lead key users in rolling out this systematics and enable the application throughout the end-to-end daily business process. For this data you will set up and measure performance criteria and continuously work on improving data quality. Additionally, you will consult and support the business management team in driving business process improvements across the Division of Process Industries based in Baden-Dättwil, Switzerland.

    Your responsibilities

    • Specify, design, implement and maintain Master Data strategy and structure in line with business requirements and ABB’s master data concept
    • Cover the requirements of master data and the relationship with upstream/ downstream applications within SAP and operational applications
    • Gather information requirements and work with the business to define standards and rules to ensure master data is compliant with defined information, policies, and quality requirements
    • Determine the appropriate KPI’s to measure master data performance
    • Drive Data Governance regulations and standards to achieve and improve a harmonized master data system in all LBU’s
    • Measure performance of master data systematics and ensure the quality and integrity within the organization
    • Represent the LBU’s master data concept in cross-organizational teams of various ABB organizational units. Raise and ensure requirements of your local unit
    • Operate Master Data lifecycle (creation, update and archive/deletion processes) by following the standards and quality requirements
    • Ensure that Master Data is maintained efficiently and accurately in all systems within scope of responsibility.
    • Document, review and update all work procedures pertaining to all aspects of Master Data.
    • Establish appropriate workflow to ensure the integrity of data.
    • Develop data cleansing plans based on data gaps; monitor progress to plan and initiates corrective action as required

    Your background

    • Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or similar
    • Minimum 5 years experience in leading data governance/master data management in large and complex organizations, ideally in industrial or technical business environments
    • Profound expertise in SAP or other ERP system environments
    • Knowledge of data governance, data quality and master data management concepts; familiar with data quality reporting methodologies
    • Experience with business process improvement methodologies and project management background are awaited.
    • Experience in creating visual dashboards, managing quality data and metrics
    • Ability to interact with different stakeholders and motivated to train and drive change
    • Hands-on and problem-solving mentality to challenge “status quo”
    • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
    • Fluency in English and sound knowledge of German
