ABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity. With ABB AbilityTM enabled digital solutions at its core, our extensive portfolio includes distribution automation products, switching, limiting, measuring and sensing devices, switchgear, modular substation packages, and related services. The role reports to the Storeroom Supervisor and is located in Pinetops, North Carolina. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for following company policies, procedures and guidelines. The individual will perform a variety of shipping related tasks. This position requires forklift certification and the ability to operate various material handling equipment.

Your responsibilities

• Follow all safety and 5S guidelines
• Prepare domestic and export shipments using ERP and Transportation software systems
• Responsible for accurate data entry and processing as per the sales order requirement
• Track & Trace Shipments
• Pull stock to fill customer orders
• Perform accurate inventory counts
• Load and Unload Trucks
• Be a Self-Starter and be willing to cross-train
• Must be dependable
• Communicate clearly
• Flexible to Work Overtime on short notice
• Ability to read and comprehend information
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management
• Physical duties of warehousing: Palletizing product
• Required to lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basis

Your background

• Entry level role
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment with the ability to learn new skills and contribute to a continuous improvement environment
• Demonstrated experience working in warehouse or manufacturing environment, if applicable
• SAP knowledge is plus
• Microsoft Office skills a plus
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment
• Basic Computer Skills required
• Valid drivers’ license
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
