    Material Planner

    ABB Smart Power Division is looking for a Material Planner in the Research & Development department based in Bergamo. In this role you will ensure appropriate scheduling of materials and prototypes manufacturing process.

    This position reports to

    R&D Team Lead

    Your responsibilities

    • Continuous monitor on R&D activities: road map, small and big projects, products development and maintenance, rules and procedures, and project development phases.
    • Good knowledge with of make-to-order production scheduling: time to market, lead time, supplier monitoring and reworks for prototypes and testing samples.
    • Apply improvement ideas on all phases of prototype definition, in harmony with Specifications, Quality standards, Safety, Delivery and Inventory. Monitoring of follow-up activities based on project results.
    • Understanding of the overall R&D process from design up to the final deliver of the test result.
    • Capability to collaborate with different stakeholders as Project managers, Product managers, Testing Laboratory, Engineering, Quality and Production in a complex environment.

    Your background

    • High school technical degree or bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
    • Good knowledge of electro-mechanical manufacturing processes. Lean Six Sigma skills are a plus.
    • Experience in electro-mechanical R&D a/o experience in circuit breakers development is a plus.
    • Main skills on common software (Microsoft office).
    • Fluent Italian and English.
    • Autonomy in the management of the activities, team-working skills, curiosity and flexibility.
