As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for mechanical engineering tasks within our R&D department. In this role, you will take part in product development projects, designing and simulating drives. You will work in cooperation with other design disciplines, production, suppliers, product engineering and other stakeholders. You will have an opportunity to grown and learn from more experienced colleagues. This position is located in our System Drives Division in Helsinki, Finland. Design Manager
Your responsibilities
- Mechanical design of frequency converters
- Designing sheet metal, extruded and plastic components
- Performing basic structural and thermal simulations
- Supporting production and mechanics' suppliers
- Prototyping and hands on testing of mechanical components and assemblies
Your background
- Few years of relevant work experience (e.g. in R&D)
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering: manufacturing (e.g. sheet metal), materials (metals and plastics), dimensioning and tolerances
- Knowledge of electrical components and electricity
- Knowledge of using PTC Creo and Windchill
- Excellent communication, cooperation and team-work skills
- Professional working proficiency in English, Finnish language skills are an advantage in the role
