    MES Application Developer

    You will be working as MES Application Developer reporting to Senior Engineering Manager for Process Automation Area, Process Industries Division, based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will join a group of high-achieving engineers to lead and develop cutting edge industrial control applications for the pulp and paper industry. Collaborating with teams in Singapore, Ireland, Sweden, Finland and USA, the breadth of technologies and control strategies employed is broad. We are looking for someone who is technically very strong but also with an interest in leading/managing local and remote teams. The successful candidate will have a desire to work in a global, dynamic and challenging environment and will be highly rewarded from both a career and remuneration perspective.     Your responsibilities

    • Manufacturing domain (projects with Pulp & Paper)To provide broad technical support to carry out the implementation of company software product in pulp and paper industry
    • Work directly on development tasks (application / reports development / customization); coordinate with other resources and create high quality products within the defined schedules and budgets
    • Experience in code quality assurance (unit testing, static code analysis)
    • Learning & Development; Skill enhancement of self
    • Quality Systems Standardization for reuse of Engineering
    • Relationship Management: Customer Training and on-site support
    • Travel to within and/or outside India up to 30-40%
    • Experience in working with client stakeholders, business representatives and technical people, and be able to adapt their style accordingly
    • Ability to present complex ideas in a convincing and understandable manner
    • Fluency in English (written and verbal).

    Your background

    • Information Technology /Computer Engineering/ Bachelors in Computer Application/ Masters in Computer Application with relevant experience of 5 - 7 years
    • ERP / MES (Manufacturing Execution System) – knowledge and understanding of Manufacturing domain
    • Experience of working with Pulp & paper industry applications will be an added advantage.
    • Experience of Relational database Oracle / SQL Server, time series database, reporting tools (Crystal, SAP BO), source control (TFS).
    • Deep knowledge of Object-oriented programming, Design Principles and Design patterns.
    • Should have excellent troubleshooting skills at module, product & system levels
    • Ability to work on new technologies, independently, and delivering on-time, quality results.
    • Knowledge of any of the following will be beneficial - C/C++; OPC (DA, HDA, UA) & COM; PLC/DCS
