The role reports to the Operations Manager and is located in Tucson, Arizona. As a Motor Winder A, you will be responsible for performing complex operations such as customer interaction and reporting, rewinding, repairing, reassembling and testing large-sized DC armatures, AC stators and rotors, etc. with minimal supervision. Able to work independently and meet delivery criteria and timetables.

Your responsibilities

• Performs complex operations such as rewinding, repairing, reassembling and testing large-sizedDC armatures, AC stators and rotors, etc.
• Progress updates/reporting to customers
• Performs related duties as assigned such as assisting on the larger or more complicated units
• May dismantle and repair commutators and collector rings as well as to band rotating equipment
• May direct others
• May be required to work overtime, various shifts, holidays and weekends
• Travel to job Sites

Your background

• High School Diploma or GED
• 10 years of experience winding AC and/or DC armatures from 250 HP to 5,000 HP +
• Eligibility Requirements
• Able to read and interpret winding connection drawings
• Experience winding field coils
• Able to travel and complete overnight stays
• Good Mechanical skills a must
• Hydro-Electric experience highly desirable
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
