MV electrical design engineer

You will be working as MV electrical design engineer and will be the part of Electrification business area for Distribution Solutions division based in 10th of Ramadan City, Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to our engineering manager and will be responsible to support ABB’s business strategy by developing and managing a preferred supply base that enhances ABB’s competitiveness and success of our customers

Your responsibilities

• Performing all the design activities related to assigned projects including preparation of SLD drawings, schematics, and GA drawings, ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations, and projecting gross margin requirements
• Implementing latest ABB technologies related to the product and being sure of following ABB processes related to this activity, technical studying and reviewing for orders in hand to be sure that all client specification is strictly followed
• Maintaining direct interaction with clients, supporting clients in the favor of the company by promoting ABB products, improving customer experience, collecting and resolving the customer complaints by ABB official tool which is CCRP
• Cooperating with engineering manager, project management and planning in order to evenly load the factory production line, controlling and having knowledge of the orders running in hand and clearing all the related difficulties and comments related to assigned tasks to release the order for manufacturing
• Cautiously monitoring the departments key performance indicators such as FPY and OPQ, continuous monitoring and analyzing of the main responsibilities of the job holder, refining the criteria of measurements is key parameter of performance
• Interacting with key clients as input for product marketing, supporting clients in the favor of the company by promoting ABB products, leaving positive impression about ABB employees and being in direct contact with ABB clients, performing techno-commercial studies for selected offers
• Participating with the engineering team in the efforts to promote ABB ability solutions especially in the digital MV SWG solutions and performing all the above tasks by applying ABB values

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in relevant field
• Experience in using AutoCAD, SAP and Eplan.
• Experience in Substation SCADA systems in an advantage.
• Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required and French is an advantage
