OPC Digital Leader

This is a OPC Digital Leader role, reporting to the Head Operations Center - IN / EU OPC in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India and Ostrava, Czech Republic. You will be primarily responsible for developing, leading, and managing a global OPC team (across INOPC & EUOPC) for PAEN Digital Pre-Sales, Technical Sales, Proposal and Execution. You will closely work with PAEN Business Line Digital Product managers, HUB Sales and Operations to ensure successful on-boarding of the relevant digital solutions by the OPC team. This will stretch from providing a standardized and optimized proposal to successful delivery of projects. Ensure projects are offered and delivered in a highly professional manner by the OPC digital team. Understanding of how to set the needed processes and effective training programs for the team.

Your responsibilities

• Providing strong support to PAEN Global Digital Business Line team in Presales / Technical Sales, Proposal, Project Delivery, and Post Sales (L3 Support)
• Working closely with Sales & Product management teams to help offering innovative solutions to meet customer requirements and deliver improvements. Providing technical support & estimation during the bid phase. Demonstrating products / solutions to customers as required
• Ensuring demand forecast is continuously collected, updated, and disseminated to relevant teams in time for effective demand / supply management. Ensuring that teams are adequately sourced, developed, utilized, and equipped to meet business needs
• Overseeing planning and control process in the project teams and provides direction & support to project teams in ensuring successful project delivery of projects with a focus on budget, on time delivery, quality
• Conducting regular reviews to ensure that the teams are delivering work according to the customer and ABB requirements. Creating and implements plans to ensure that project risks are identified and managed, opportunities maximized
• Ensuring (with HR support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and retained. Guides, motivates, coaches, and develops employees reporting directly and indirectly, within HR policies
• Initiating and drives continuous improvement activities. Developing, implementing, and improving relevant processes, tools, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency across the project lifecycle. Working closely with LD Sales / Project responsible and collect regular feedbacks, act on them
• Working closely with PAEN Global Digital Business Line Sales, Operations, Pillar Leaders, align expectations, drive strategy implementation. Providing visibility to Management team through regular calls & reports and escalate as required

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science Software Engineering, or related technical field
• 15+ years of experience with at least 5 years in the digital area, with deep understanding of the relevant technologies
• Proved record of leading an engineering/software team, strong customer focus, driving results and delivering project success
• Excellent networking skills matured in a highly international organization. Proven collaborator and inspirational leader with the ability to drive success in direct and matrix organization
• Strong knowledge of operational excellence, PAEN Digital portfolio and situation on the global market
• Excellent communication skills to present and report activities in a clear and effective way, sensitive to communication steps related to all levels of stakeholders
• Ability to work across different time zones/cultures a must
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment and approach problems in a systematic way understanding consequences in a systemic manner
• Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken)
• Willingness to travel is required (around 20%)
