Are you passionate about the field of order handling? Get ready to assist our Process Industries division as an Order Handling Specialist, ensuring that goods are ordered and shipped while meeting quality, compliance, and time parameters. Reporting to the Team Lead – Project Support, you will actively maintain and improve order handling processes to optimize material orderings and deliveries. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to bring in your ideas and creative proposals fostering our continuous improvement culture.

Your responsibilities

• Coordinating aspects of the project and supporting Project managers in the management and execution of projects
• Controlling document accuracy and consistency based on the information provided by Project managers/ Engineers and procedures agreed with customer
• Issuing purchase requisitions according to the technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and project terms
• Issuing/releasing shipments according to the technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and project terms
• Supporting the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of procurement & logistics practice approved activities
• Effectively communicating appropriate information to project stakeholders
• Key point of contact for suppliers, customers, project managers, engineers, purchasers, and the shipping department

Your background

• Completed commercial apprenticeship and ideally further training in order handling, procurement, or logistics
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role working in international order handling, procurement, or logistics
• Knowledge of SAP is a must
• Knowledge of logistics procedures, Incoterms and international trade is an advantage
• A proactive, solution-focused, open minded and reliable team player with strong written and spoken communication skills
• Fluency in German and English
