    ABB’s Legal & Integrity Service Center (LSC) is a proactive and strategic business partner to ABB’s multiple Business Areas with a strong focus on quality, customers, and the company’s best interests. This role is responsible for responding to integrity process requests and legal work requests from ABB’s global legal community. You will work in a team of junior lawyers who work under the direction of senior lawyers to perform legal research, contract redlining, and legal operations tasks.

    Your responsibilities

    • Serves as first line of approval for ABB integrity processes such as third-party due diligence, employee conflict of interest reviews, etc.
    • Serves as part of a team of lawyers providing legal support to ABB’s global legal community.
    • Performs legal research with the assistance of global research tools and prepares memoranda for senior lawyers.
    • Stores and sorts ABB templates and contracts in ABB’s storage tools.
    • Provides support in drafting, reviewing, and analyzing agreements and other legal documents.
    • Participates and leads projects and legal operations tasks.
    • Prepares slides in PowerPoint and reports in Excel.
    • Managing calendars, booking meetings and travel, completing expense reports, ordering supplies.

    Your background

    • University degree required; Master’s degree from an accredited law school and bar admission preferred but not mandatory.
    • At least 2+ years in commercial law and contractual work, preferably in a corporate environment.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
    • Comprehensive understanding of contractual legal matters.
    • Strong drafting, organization, and time management skills.
    • Proficient (at minimum) skillset in Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint and Excel and general understanding of legal technology and operations platforms.
    • Prefer candidates with experience with contracts for the purchase of and sale of goods and services.
    • Proficient written and spoken communication skills in English. C2 strongly preferred.
    • Preference given to candidates with additional fluency in Italian, German, Russian, Arabic, or Chinese.
