Planning & Fulfillment Specialist

The Material Planner handles end-to-end planning of inventory in excess of invoicing, from purchase requisition to customer invoice, assisting internal customer service inquiries. In this role you will set inventory parameters and inventory targets, while making sure that there is adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders. Support the Development of the planning and fulfillment processes, skills and tools. Responsible for end-to-end planning of inventory from purchase requisition to customer invoice. Support internal customer service inquiries. Sets inventory parameters, inventory targets, and ensure adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders. Also supports performance improvement projects.

Your responsibilities

• Analysis: Perform standard and ad hoc detailed analysis for planning and fulfillment metrics (inventory, on time delivery, lead time, forecast accuracy, resource utilization) Identifies key root causes for non-performance, and drives improvement initiatives across the local business unit
• Demand plan: Create and maintain rolling 18-24 months unconstrained demand forecasts for assigned products. Assemble and analyses all data pertinent to creating an unconstrained demand plan. Facilitate running the demand review meetings. Support Sales by providing guidance on global demand for specific products and assisting with consolidation of the worldwide demand plan. Obtain Sales’ sign-off on the demand plan for input to the S&OP process
• Reporting: Compiles and sends weekly/monthly report out to business leaders on planning and fulfillment – lead time, on time delivery, material availability
• Inventory parameters: Calculate and maintain in the planning systems and the ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning) the safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead-time, and replenishment strategies
• Collaboration: Collaborate with Buyers and Category Managers for obtaining the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity), quality, lead-time, and flexibility
• Inbound Materials: Work with Operations Buyers to align planning of material with call offs and ensures that purchase requisitions are converted for service material
• Inventory performance: Analyses slow moving inventory.Take appropriate action for optimizing inventory performance, in collaboration with demand planner, sales, marketing, manufacturing and procurement and logistics

Your background

• Bachelor degree and 5 years of related experience required
• Previous experience in planning and fulfillment required
• Good understanding of supply market, logistics, B2B in a multicultural global business environment highly preferred
• Strong analytical skills with a continuous improvement focus highly preferred
• Knowledge of larger project business execution and mechanical/electrical category knowledge is highly preferred
• Experience with SAP or similar system highly preferred
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
