    Plant Administrative Assistant

    You will provide vital administrative support within the Motion / NEMA Motors division in Athens, GA, acting as a point of contact for enquiries, initiating actions and assisting with resolution. Performing a variety of complex administrative activities, you will be instrumental in the smooth running of processes and procedures within the business.

    Your responsibilities

    • Provides administrative support for management and business operations according to business objectives.
    • Process highly confidential and sensitive information related to Safety, Human Resources as well as other areas of the business.
    • Interacts with a diverse group of external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization.
    • Assists employees and managers with various training needs, including the maintenance of training records and running of various reports.
    • Coordinates on-site events, including meetings, celebrations, plant tours and other plant events.
    • Purchases office and other miscellaneous supplies, entering purchase requisitions and purchase orders, as well as picking up supplies from local vendors.
    • Supports all departments with various tasks, consistent with the position, such as maintaining and posting items on plant bulletin boards, assisting with safety activities, purchases, or documentation, working with QA (Quality Assurance ) and Engineering to maintain work instructions in Compliant Pro.
    • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies, advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting near misses and/ or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and encouraging others to do the same.

    Your background

    • High School Diploma / GED with minimum 4 years experience OR Associate's Degree with Minimum 2 year experience OR Bachelor's Degree with minimum 0-2 years experience. Experience with MS Office tools:Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Preferred Experience Include:
    • SAP (Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software), Kronos, Compliant Pro and experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
