    We are looking for candidates for the position " PLC programmer (m/w) - Bucharest" for the ABB Operation Center Europe with branches in Czechia (Ostrava, Pilsen and Brno) and in Romania (Bucharest). As part of this position, you will work on industrial automation projects in the area of: • Energetics, including green energy • Maritime transport • Mining and processing of mineral raw materials • Pharmaceuticals and chemistry Examples of real projects we have worked on: • Kittilä gold mine in Finland - increasing capacity, improving energy efficiency and reducing fossil fuels • Johan Sverdrup project - oil extraction - reduction of CO2 emissions thanks to the installation of inverters to power the entire extraction equipment • Jansz-Io project – natural gas extraction – unique underwater power plant technology enabling a lower carbon footprint Our customers build new or repair and expand existing technology all over the world, and with that comes the need for business trips ranging from a few weeks a year to several months. We will try to find you a project that will suit your time possibilities. This position is suitable for both experienced candidates and graduates who want to gain experience in an international environment (on international projects)

    This position reports to

    Department Manager

    Your responsibilities

    • Programming control applications based on functional specifications
    • Functional testing internally and with the customer
    • Commissioning of equipment at the customer
    • Documenting the progress of the project and creating technical documentation

    Your background

    • Education at least secondary school in the electrical field
    • Experience in automation and PLC programming (we will train graduates)
    • English at a communicative level (cooperation with foreign customers)
    • Independence and desire to work in an international team
    • Willingness to learn new things
    • Willingness to travel
