    Principal Project Engineer

    You will be working as Principal Project Engineer, will be the part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role you will be responsible for taking a lead role in co-creating and presenting complex technical solutions, principal project engineer for process/distributed control systems with expertise in ABB Infi90, symphony plus and ABB 800xA with symphony plus

    Automation Engineering Manager

    Your responsibilities

    • Acting as senior technical product specialist, for ABB DCS symphony /INFI90 and automation system products, providing technical support and coordinating of product issues to customers within the specific business unit region / country, in the gulf region
    • Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions and seeking customer feedback to drive and delivering improvements
    • Coordinating and resolving high level technical issues/questions and providing advice and recommending both internally and to customer sites, able to trouble shoot automation system especially ABB INFI90 with 800xA at onshore and offshore site for oil and gas and power and water sector customers
    • Anticipating and solving, crucial issues and/or unique conditions and having a focused approach in dealing with reported issues by customer and driving the actions internally and with customers
    • Providing and creating a team approach to service related activities and offer customers a complete evolution plan and lifecycle approach to product implementation, supporting and ultimate system upgrades
    • As and when required, for ABB service or customer support, utilizing the expertise provided by ABB global technical assistance centers, delivering a professional and quality service in line with ABB and customer requirements, improving and growing ABB service business
    • Knowledge of cyber security solutions such as network hardening, system hardening, backup solutions, patch management for automation system especially ABB DCS symphony with 800xA
    • Good Knowledge of networking solutions especially using Hirschmann networking products, domain setup, group policies management for automation system especially with ABB 800xA
    • Involvement / assistance with new projects, especially with system testing for customers during FAT, commissioning and SAT Activities

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree – Electrical Engineering/ Electronics
    • Minimum 10-15 years' of experience in automation area
    • Extensive knowledge and expertise of ABB systems especially with INFI90 DCS/Harmony with 800xA
    • Knowledge of industrial cyber security solutions for ABB systems eg: DCS Symphony / INFI-90 with 800xA
    • Experience with onshore and offshore oil and gas customer especially ADNOC is a must
    • Fluency in spoken & written English is a must
