    Procurement and Planning Data Analyst

    We are looking for a passionate Procurement and Planning Data Analyst. You will turn data into information, information into insight and insight to facilitate business decisions. This position will work for the Procurement and Planning organizations. Utilizing standard ABB tool sets around the SAP platform, You will develop analysis and reporting capabilities for various Supply Chain challenges, monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements. This position is flexible with regard to location, but proximity to an ABB location is strongly preferred.

    Your responsibilities

    • Interprets data, analyzes results using statistical techniques and provides standard and ad hoc reports
    • Develops and implements databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
    • Develops, manages & distributes information on a weekly/monthly reports to business leaders to support corporate decision making.
    • Acquires data from primary and secondary data sources, managing and improving existing reporting systems.
    • Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends and root causes by performing complex analyses.
    • Drives and tracks improvement initiatives across business or individual manufacturing plants, and provides technical support, mentoring and training.
    • Develops a methodology and processes for the prioritization and scheduling of projects.

    Your background

    • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, computer science/MIS or related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
    • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
    • Strong knowledge of reporting packages, database, programming, and statistics, including using statistical packages for analyzing data sets
    • Procurement or fulfillment planning experience strongly preferred
