    Working in the procurement team in Smart Power within Electrification Business in Senatobia, Mississippi, you will be deciding on and implementing plans for local sourcing to achieve business targets and assist regional and global sourcing initiatives. In this role you will be playing a vital role in the procurement and logistics team at our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms while ensuring purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. Develop, plan and implement Procurement strategy focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for an assigned category or group of categories. Ensure execution in accordance with Company, Procurement and Supply Base Management instructions and procedures.

    Your responsibilities

    • Identifies new suppliers in cooperation with relevant Indirect Materials and Indirect Service category teams including Facility Services involving Real Estate, building maintenance and Integrated Facility Services
    • Conduct RFQ (Request for quotation) process with SAP Ariba and other procurement tools
    • Run competitive bidding and benchmark studies for the category team and for specific sourcing initiatives
    • Analyzes and evaluates bids to determine the optimal value
    • Choosing appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost and sustainability) in accordance with company policies
    • Managing the planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts
    • Adapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs
    • Recommends frame agreements to management and executes upon approval, negotiates, and renews pricelists, terms and conditions
    • Defining and establishing local standard agreements with all major suppliers, while providing and maintaining standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines
    • Managing the planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets and savings forecasts. Create analytical report based upon spend
    • Conducts all Supply Chain activities for all goods and services in accordance with ABB policies and procedures
    • Tracks goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing
    • Support and guide Facilities Stakeholder with their purchases, invoices, new vendor setups, signatures authorities
    • On-board new suppliers in close collaboration with the respective local buyer and runs regular supplier evaluations and provides supplier reports to Businesses and Category and maintain data sanity for vendor master and terms
    • Manager supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolves performance issues
    • Support regional/global sourcing initiatives within a defined set of categories, working closely with key stakeholders to implement regional category strategies
    • Contributing to and participating in setting and implementing budget and targets within the framework and ensuring that sourcing performance targets are achieved

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience OR; Associate degree with 4 years of experience OR; High School diploma/ GED with 6 years of experience in Sourcing or Operations
    • Proficient in MS Office. Knowledge of SAP Ariba, PowerBI is a plus
    • Experience working with transactional purchasing in SAP preferred
    • Experience working with processes typically utilized to produce products used within the electrical industry desired
    • Ability to effectively use data to drive improvement activities
    • Excellent communication and project management skills with an ability to lead and coordinate cross functional teams and deliver complex strategic initiatives, in a truly global, fluid, interactive environment
    • Experience dealing and negotiation with Suppliers located around
    • A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
