Procurement Team Lead

This is a Procurement Team Lead role, reporting to the Global Procurement Manager in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. You will be primarily responsible for driving eSourcing strategy and Implement the ARIBA eRFx & eAuction methods as part of the standard sourcing tools in the ABB units.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for driving and implementing the eSourcing strategy for ABB units
• In the pilot units, identify necessary (training) and sufficient criteria’s (process, tool support, supplier training, etc) for successful implementation of eSourcing & eAuction tools
• Implement the tools in the pilot ABB units and rollout implementation to all ABB units, using lessons learned from the pilot
• Knowledge on SAP Ariba sourcing module is must
• Drive increased usage of the eRFQ and eAuction tool supporting ABB units in managing the end-to-end sourcing events on SAP Ariba platform
• Supporting the sourcing execution policies and make eRFQ tool to be part LDL operational workflows
• Leads in defining the right sourcing strategy based on the supplier vs buyer markets
• Works proactively towards cost target objectives in collaboration with ABB’s global category teams and SCM teams
• Drive excellence in esourcing by training colleagues on various esourcing techniques
• Supports in building up a central knowledge base and developing further the governance around the eSourcing process in ABB

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with Engineering background from an accredited institution
• A minimum of 6-8 years of esourcing experience
• Familiar with various costings methods & tools, preferably with SAP Ariba/aPriori cost management software.
• Knowledge on SAP Ariba sourcing module is a must
• Sound knowledge of materials engineering, metal market rates, manufacturing processes, global labor rates & manufacturing burden rates & overheads at different locations will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of manufacturing production process (PCBA, Plastic Inj. Moulding, Sheet Metal, Tooling, Castings, Forgings) will be an added advantage
