    Position summary

    Change Implementation, Product/Manufacturing Data accuracy, Product Cost Analysis and to serve as the main technical reference for the operations.
    This position reports to

    Process and Product Engineering Manager
    Your responsibilities

    • Reviewing and Implementing engineering changes across products and coordinating the deliverables between cross functional teams

    • Contribute to design/manufacturing reviews and verification, providing feedback on modifications as needed

    • Ensuring the manufacturing line has the support required to meet market demand by monitoring, creating/verifying work instructions, and taking a proactive approach to remove barriers that would impede achieving this goal

    • Loading, correcting, and monitoring all data related to power protection products using the manufacturing unit's PLM (Product LifeCycle Magement) /ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such a Material Master, manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOM), Routings and Costing

    • Establishes contacts with suppliers for technical support to improve material quality and/or to decrease costs

    • Work with others cross-functionally to deliver designs in a timely manner with high-quality deliverables that meet customer expectations and project requirements

    • Work directly with cross functional team to implement, localize, and outsource products and manufacturing opportunities

    • The effectiveness of this engineer in the execution of these targets will ensure the support to operations on a strategical level. This will involve collaboration with multifunctional teams within the facility and international engineering teams across the world

    Your background

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 3 plus years of engineering or manufacturing experience is required

    • Knowledge of electromechanical design, detail part drawings, assembly drawings, and design for manufacturing in all the above

    • Experience with 3D modeling and Wiring Diagrams

    • Experience interpreting and applying electrical safety standards (UL/IEC, etc.) is a plus

    • Strong multitasking and organizational skills. Must be goals oriented, analytic, and methodical

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs and Windchill

    • Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred

    • Proficient in Excel Data analysis and Reports

    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
