    As a Product Owner and Team Lead you will fulfill a critical leadership role within your agile team. You will drive and foster a culture of innovation while leading the management of R&D activities and resources at the team level. You will drive product development tasks – with a focus on cyber-security-relevant functionality – for the My Control System (MCS) platform. MCS is a service-orientated product within the process automation area that enables customers to visualize and analyze control system performance, software, security and lifecycle status. To do this, we combine cyber security-relevant capabilities with the latest technologies to deliver added value for our customers. You will serve as Product Owner within an agile team and will lead R&D Engineers to meet the requirements of product development projects. The job will require 80% focus on Product Owner responsibilities and 20% dedicated to R&D Team Lead activities. You will be a member of an agile team based in Kraków or Lodz. Our flexible working model promotes work-life balance and offers options to collaborate with your team in person and remotely in a hybrid model – we meet at the office once a week.

    Your responsibilities

    • Technical and scientific proficiency and leadership: Serve as a technical resource for internal (R&D colleagues and management) and external contacts (customers and vendors)
    • Projects, processes, and tools: Plan and ensure an optimal project portfolio for the team. Plan capacity, people, and resources for R&D projects. Oversees efficient, timely, and quality project execution using the most appropriate internal and external resources
    • Act as a product owner and a main point of contact between development teams and stakeholders to ensure appropriate representation of needs. Manage and prioritize product requirements according to the product roadmap in DevOps
    • People leadership and development: Manage assigned resources for R&D activities, assigns tasks to team members, and supervise workload and work allocation within the project team. Ensure appropriate competencies are developed and acquired within the team to support the development of future products and systems. Conduct performance reviews and people resource administrative activities
    • Acts as a mentor, transferring skills and knowledge, sharing best practices and lessons learned
    • Finance and Budget: Together with your line manager you prepare the yearly budgets, and you monitor the running costs for your direct reports and external vendors

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Computer Science / Electronics or a relevant field
    • Strong knowledge in R&D-related domains, working in different roles
    • Work experience in the role of a product owner or business analyst
    • Experience in developing new products, redesigning and improving existing and/or custom products to meet standards and/or customer requirements
    • A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills in English
    • Experience with agile development methods such as SCRUM, the Scaled Agile Framework, and tools like Azure DevOps and GIT
    • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes would also be desirable
